Intravenous vitamin C for reduction of cytokines storm in acute respiratory distress syndrome

Updated: Mar 29

During the COVID19 Lockdown, I wrote an article about how to increase your resistance to viral infections.

The idea is so much how not to get these infections but to reduce the consequences to you as an individual. We can't avoid infections all of our lives, in fact, withing reason, we need to be exposed to bugs to be healthy and robust. What is most important is how your body responds when exposed to a "Nasty".

Vitamin C is one nutrient that has been shown time and again to be immune-supporting, but for some inexplicable reason, medical experts continue to rubbish its role. Is it because you can't patent Vitamin C? There is no other explanation unless someone wants to suggest one.

You must watch the video here:

Despite the cherry-picking of the evidence by the opponents of natural health therapies such as vitamin C, the evidence of the benefits of IV Vitamin C for treating (not preventing) viral infections such as COVID19 is compelling. Here is the latest, hot off the press:

Intravenous vitamin C for reduction of cytokines storm in acute respiratory distress syndrome  The Pharma Nutrition Journal recently published a review of the effects of intravenous vitamin C (IV Vit-C) on the immune system response, the antiviral properties of IV Vit-C, and finally, the antioxidant properties of IV Vit-C to specifically address the cytokines' storm characteristic of the Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) that occur in the later cycle of the Covid19 infectious disease. The review found that "IV Vitamin C and other antioxidants are extremely good agents for ARDS. These can be applied clinically. Importantly, high dose IV Vit-C is safe and effective."
