My sister, Lorraine, wrote:
"This song was originally from my novel, when a gypsy mother loses her daughter during the birth of our protagonist, the alchemist, Nardo. Holding the baby and shunned by the palace staff, she sings the soul of her daughter to heaven. I was inspired to write this expanded version when my friend, Liza lost her daughter in September of 2024, on my own daughter's birthday. This song is about the burden of both holding the immense gratitude a mother feels for the gift of a child with the unbearable sadness of outliving her, something that I hope most of us never have to experience."
Heartbreakingly beautiful 💔
